Fuel Pumping Gloves

While gloves are not so common for pumping gas, those who have pumped diesel know that diesel has a much stronger and longer lasting smell. Diesel is slippery and hard to wash off. It also seems that diesel pump handles are always smeared with some amount of diesel. For this reason, it is common to have a pair of gloves solely for pumping diesel. Its easy to keep them in the driver’s side-door pocket. While almost anything will do, rubber coatings will keep the diesel from seeping into the material and a wide cuff or oversized glove can make it easier to quickly slip on and off.
