For some, having an RV allows for weekend and week-long trips that will get you closer to nature, explore new places, and maybe visit friends and family without imposing. For others, it opens the door to a full-time journey that allows you to see more, do more, be more, and experience an adventure of a lifetime while you have the comforts of home while you travel.
For us, RV life was a semi-temporary solution that has provided a lifetime of memories and changed our lives forever. As a family of four, we took the opportunity during COVID to homeschool our two children and work from the road while we set out to travel to all 48 states and visit all available national parks. We have lived in our 32’ travel trailer for extended periods, but we still return to our home in Maryland. When we bought our RV in 2020, we didn’t have a lot of time before our first long trip. We searched for many resources to help us get started, walk us through set up and common problems, review organization hacks, recipes, space-saving advice, and more. We found great resources but we never found a single source that gave us everything in one place. We have documented the things that helped us to get started and what works for us on our travels. We hope this will be a great place for you to start but please come back as you expand on your RV adventures.
We have found the RV community to be extremely helpful, honest, and adventurous. We hope you’ll share your experiences and tips so we can continue to grow the advice and resources available to others.
From our family to yours, happy camping!
